Liu Yong was born in China in 1969 and works at Sichuan Tourism University as a Professor of Culture Heritage and Tourism Development. He is currently the Chief Director of the Mountain Tourism and Leisure Sports Development Research Center.
Liu has been engaged in mountaineering and other adventures for over 30 years. His interests include alpine climbing, skydiving, paragliding, wingsuit flying, and endurance biking.
He has traveled around the world to challenge many untouched places. His passion lies in communicating with nature, humans, and diverse cultures through adventures. Liu successfully rowed across the Atlantic with five French rowers in 2023.
