Ralph Tuijn, born in the Netherlands in 1971, has a 20-year-old daughter, Isis, and a 15-year-old son, Ravi. Ralph has completed 12 ocean rows, spending a total of 958 days at sea, and achieved 22 world records in sports.
He has cycled more than 10,000 km across the world, crossing entire continents nine times. He crossed Australia twice on a rowingbike and holds a record for cycling through Africa in the summer.
Ralph also ran 1,500 km in 24 days through the middle of Australia during the summer and has climbed mountains on most continents. He has participated in several Arctic expeditions. Ralph is the owner of the boat “Rose” and serves as the captain of the expedition. In 2025 Ralph captained the UNTAMED crew that rowed 4,556 nautical miles (recorded track) across the Indian Ocean, from Carnarvon, Australia, to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in 65 days.
